Vintage Quilt made from a kit by Bucilla called Garden Poppies. It was advertised in McCalls Needlework and Crafts in 1963. 74in x 94in. Machine pieced, hand appliqued, hand embroidered and hand quilted. White cotton backing with thin cotton batting. Scalloped edge with solid red bias tape edging, applied by hand (back) and machine (front). Small blue dots are still present to guide the maker with their quilting: Feathered oval in the center, filled with crosshatching; curved, feathered lines on border; straight lines on edge.Please see our Your Tube Channel for a video preview of this quilt.
