Vintage Anne Orr Nursey Rhyme Crib Quilt measuring 41×65 inches. Pattern is from 1933, this may have been made a decade or so later. Six appliqué blocks alternate with six plain blocks; Characters represented are Mary and Her Lamb, Little Jack Horner, Little Miss Muffet, Jack and Jill, Polly and Kettle, Tom the Piper’s Son. Machine pieced, appliqued, hand embroidery, and hand quilted. In very good condition. This quilt was part of Laura Fisher’s estate. Laura Fisher was a New York based world renowned quilt expert, dealer and author, and in offering these textiles for sale we hope to honor her legacy of style and scholarship.
