February Antique & Vintage Quilt Auction
Vintage 1930s with earlier fabrics Brick Works tied quilt or comfort, measuring about 88 x 93 inches. Comprised of a variety of prints, stripes, and plaids from 1870-1930s. Machine pieced, hand tied with white thread, thick cotton batting, shirting print on reverse. Edge is knife edge finished by machine. It is in fair condition with several spots, split seams and primitive repairs. This quilt was part of Laura Fisher’s estate. Laura Fisher was a New York based world renowned quilt expert, dealer and author, and in offering these textiles for sale we hope to honor her legacy of style and scholarship.
