Vintage c1940s Grandmother’s Flower Garden Quilt with Ties. An interesting quilt! Measuring 43×58 inches. It is hand pieced. There is no batting, but a yellow cotton solid backing. Each white hexagon and flower center hexagon has a pink tie. In addition, almost every seam is reinforced with a zig zag stitch in yellow thread. The perimeter is also stitched in a zig zag stitch, but in red thread. The machine zig zag stitches go through to the back. In very good condition. This quilt was part of Laura Fisher’s estate. Laura Fisher was a New York based world renowned quilt expert, dealer and author, and in offering these textiles for sale we hope to honor her legacy of style and scholarship.
