February Antique & Vintage Quilt Auction
These two quilts are not vintage, but rather are commercially made import quilts. Cats with paw prints measures 35 x 49 inches. Tag attached by L’Amour Kids and made in China. Machine appliqued and hand quilted. In fair condition with water discoloration and other spots. Tumbling blocks quilt measures 32 x 45 inches, machine pieced, hand quilted, remnants of tag are evident on the back. In good condition with one yellow spot. This quilt was part of Laura Fisher’s collection. While these quilts were part of Laura Fisher’s estate, I believe she realized they were imports and were probably not for sale. Laura Fisher was a New York based world renowned quilt expert, dealer and author, and in offering these textiles for sale we hope to honor her legacy of style and scholarship.
