Vintage Maple Leaf quilt c1940s measuring 69×81. Pieced maple leaf blocks alternate with a green print or home dyed green sugar sack fabric. It is hand pieced and hand quilted in a Baptist Fan or elbow quilting. Binding was applied by machine. The batting is quite thick, and cotton. This was collected in North Carolina. The backing is pieced with several feedsacks, one from Warrenton, NC. In fair condition, a small hole, lots of spots, fading to the home dyed fabrics, and the quilt could benefit from a good soaking to remove the dinginess. We do our best to describe all items in detail and provide pictures. If you have any doubt, please ask questions!
