February Antique & Vintage Quilt Auction
Antique c1920s white whole cloth quilt measuring 51×78 inches. It is hand quilted with a large feathered wreath in the center, and overall hanging diamond, and clamshells closer to the scalloped border, which is on 3 sides. Binding applied by machine. In good condition, there is a large dark spots and a faded yellow round spot on the quilt. It appears to have at point had Velcro on the back on 3 sides, by machine, and the remnants of the machine stitching is still evident, the Velcro has been removed. This quilt was part of Laura Fisher’s estate. Laura Fisher was a New York based world renowned quilt expert, dealer and author, and in offering these textiles for sale we hope to honor her legacy of style and scholarship.
