Antique Wool Hexagon Star Quilt with Red Path, c1870s, measuring 74in x 85in. Mostly solid and plaid wool challis and delaines fabric. Hexagon diamonds are arranged in a star formation with a red path and beige hexagon at each intersection. Hexagons are hand pieced, but the 2in red border is machine pieced. This cotton batting with a dark twill fabric edging, and a glorious deep blue cotton reverse. Please see our Dana Auctions You Tube Channel for a video preview of this quilt.
