September Antique Quilt & Textile Auction
Ruby McKim patterned, hand embroidered child’s tied comfort measuring 60in x 75in. 30 off white cotton sateen blocks, 8.5in x 8.5in, set straight 5 by 6 with pink sateen sashing and border and tied at intervals with pink cotton embroidery floss. There appears to be no batting, but the reverse is an off-white cotton sateen. The edge is finished with a tiny pink ruffle. On the back, on top, in the center is a hand embroidered and applied label: To Neil Duncan Rambine, The work presented by Anna C Prichard, Easter 1923.
