Antique quilt top measuring 66 x 78 inches. Comprised of 42 Rising Sun blocks, about 11 x 11 inches, set straight 6 x 7. It is machine pieced, machine appliqued, and hand inked with several names, biblical, verses, and events dated from 1899 – 1901. Locations include Greenville, PA, Lutheran Church, Butler, PA and York, PA. Reverends include Rev. G. L. Rankin, Rev W. M Rehrig, Rev Frank C. Oberly, and more. May have been a fund raising quilt or a farewell gift that was never completed. Three blocks have no names inscribed. The inscriptions were done with various writing implements. This is just a quilt top with no backing, batting, or quilting. It is in good condition with some spots and ink bleeding. We do our best to describe all items in detail and provide pictures. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $20 is a domestic shipping estimate. We will gladly combine multiple lots for your convenience and economy. Depending on how many lots we can pack, it may cost an additional $5. One quilt is $25, 2 quilts $30, 3 quilts $35 as long as they ship in the same box.
