Antique c1890 Devil’s Claw quilt top measuring 77 x 87 inches. Comprised of 55 8.5 x 8.5 Devil’s Claw blocks set on point with half block setting triangles. 1.5 inch double green sashing with a colorful shirting cornerstone. Quilt top is hand and machine pieced. Great variety of prints from the era. It is just a quilt top with no batting, backing or quilting. Believed to have been made by Hattie Hathoway of Greenwich, NY, died 1940. Purchased from her soon in August 1991. In very good condition. We do our best to describe all items in detail and provide pictures. If you have any doubt, please ask questions!
