Antique c1860s Nine Patch quilt top measuring 92 x 100 inches. Comprised of bars of on-point nine patches measuring 11.5 inches wide, set with alternating 5.5 inch wide strips of floral print fabric. Many of the nine patches include earlier chintz fabrics. Possibly Prussian green. A 6 inch border and a 9 inch border. It is hand pieced. It is just a quilt top with no batting, backing or quilting. A partial label still affixed to the back. Bought from an estate in Montclair, New Jersey in 1991. In fair condition with one hole, one fabric deteriorating, some moisture or water marks, and other small spots. Minor printing imperfections.
