Antique whole cloth chintz quilt measuring 77×77 inches. The front is a lovely floral chintz with a picotage ground. The reverse is a brown paisley print, arranged in stripes. It is hand pieced and hand quilted. Cotton batting. Both fabrics have a 25 inch selvage width. I would date the chintz to about 1840s-1850s, the brown print may be 1850s-1860s. In fair condition with some shadowing around the flowers, probably from the dyes, and edge wear along 2 sides. We do our best to describe all items in detail and provide pictures.
