Vintage 1940s Child Size 9 Patch Quilt measuring 53×58 inches. May be a multigenerational piece. The 9 patches appear to be c1940s, with many fabrics in the triangle border from 1880s-1890s. It is hand pieced and hand quilted. Off white cotton reverse and a thin cotton batting. Applied binding is on grain, and by hand. In good condition with only some dirt discoloration along the binding. There is a sleeve for hanging along the top on the back. And there is a small tag pinned to the corner that the quilt was purchased at a Montclair NJ Estate sale in 2007, but had been bought in England 10 years prior to that.
