Rare Antique 1895 Textile Sample Book. Large cloth covered record book measuring 16 inches high by 11.5 inches wide and 5 inches thick. Cover is marked “A1 Classe 1, Printemps, 1895, 5E Voyage, 1R Volume.” Book contains 170 pages, covered on both sides with over 1,650 mostly cotton fabric swatches, including shirtings, light ground florals, indigos, Swiss dot, plisse and more, average swatch size is 3 x 7 inches with many of a larger size. Swatches are in good condition. Some of the samples have adhesive stains and are loose in the book, pages are yellowed with foxing, some pages have crumbing edges.
