Rare Antique 1899 Textile Sample Book. Large cloth covered record book measuring 16 inches high by 11.5 inches wide and 3 inches thick. Cover is marked “A3 Classe 2B, Annee, 1899 and inside cover is marked “A. Zoller.”” Book contains 67 pages, covered on both sides with over 1,830 mostly cotton fabric swatches, including stripes, plaids, neons, shirtings, textured florals, indigos, paisleys, plisse and more, average swatch size is 4.5 x 3.5 inches with many of a larger size. Swatches are in good condition. Some of the samples have adhesive stains and are loose in the book. Book is in poor condition with detached cover, pages are yellowed with foxing, some pages have crumbing edges, some loose pages.
