Dana Auctions Jan 2021 Antique Textile Sale
Antique Duck Paddle Pattern Quilt from NY c1890s, measuring 79 by 83 inches. It is comprised of 56 blocks, measuring about 10 by 10 inches, set straight 7 by 8, with 2.25 inches pink cotton print sashing, and white cornerstones, no borders. It is hand pieced and hand quilted. Thin cotton batting with tiny stars on white cotton print backing. The edges are finished by the back being brought to the front, and hand stitched. The quilt has a paper label that credits the quilt to Mrs Robert Flammers who was from northwest New York. Please see our Dana Auctions You Tube Channel for a video preview of this quilt.
