Antique c1870s red and green quilt is a variation of a Thistle pattern. It measures 76 inches by 93 inches. In the center is hand embroidered A.M.E. 1859. There are 20 blocks 16 inches by 16 inches, set straight, 4 by 5 with a 6 inch triple strip white and red border. Fabrics are a double process solid green cotton and solid turkey red cotton. It is hand pieced, hand appliqued, and hand quilted. White solid backing with thin cotton batting. Back is brought to the front to finish the narrow edge. Believed to have been from the Shenandoah Valley, VA region. In good condition, only minor wear to the turkey red, and a few spots. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $25 is a domestic shipping estimate. I will gladly combine multiple lots for your convenience and economy. Depending on how many lots I can pack, it may cost an additional $5-$10.
