August 2021 Antique Textile Sale
Circa 1880s antique Crazy Quilt measuring 42×56 inches. Center is comprised of 12 crazy quilt blocks made of silks and velvets with lots of hand embroidered motifs and a couple commercial woven embroidered jacquard silks. The border is pieced and also embroidered. There are botanicals, birds, a dimensional spider, a rooster, butterfly, cat, frog, and more. The edge has small little velvet pompoms , several are missing. Otherwise it is in very good condition, no shattered silks. It is not quilted, but, tied. Back is a red faille or taffeta. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $20 is a domestic shipping estimate. I will gladly combine multiple lots for your convenience and economy.
