August 2021 Antique Textile Sale
Antique c1900 Log Cabin tied comfort quilt measuring 78×80 inches. Comprised of 169 log cabin blocks measuring 6.25×6.25 inches, set straight 13 by 13. Lots of wonderful prints from the last quarter of the 19th century, including some novelty shirting prints. The maker used the striped motifs well, in the log shapes. It is hand and machine pieced, and hand tied at the intersection of each block in a red embroidery floss. The backing fabric is from the 1940s, a grey print. The backing comes to the front to finish the edge, and is machine applied. In good condition, a couple of small spots and a couple of splits in a fabric along an edge. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $25 is a domestic shipping estimate. I will gladly combine multiple lots for your convenience and economy.
