September Antique Quilt & Textile Auction
This Vintage Grandmothers Flower Garden Quilt from the 1930s to 1940s was Machine Quilted, back at the time it was made, not recently. Quilt measures 74in x 86in. Yellow solid center with each rosette having 2 rings of prints, and separated by a green garden path. Many of the prints in the fabrics have been specialty cut to the center of the hexagon shape. It is hand pieced, but machine quilted in an overall loop de loop motif, similar to mattress pads from the time period. Yellow applied binding finishes the edges. Thin cotton batting and mint green solid backing.
