How to Buy & Sell at Dana Auctions LLC

Auctions can be intimidating for first-time buyers and sellers, but with Dana Auctions it’s easy and fun!


  • Whether in person or online, in order to buy, you have to bid.  All bidders must register.

    • To register for a Live/In Person Auction, all you need is your Driver’s License.

    • To register for an online auction, follow the link to upcoming auction on either Liveauctioneers, BidSquare, or here, and follow the instructions to bid.
  • When you register, you are agreeing to our Terms and Conditions of Service, found here.
  • If you are unable to attend in person, or prefer to leave an absentee or phone bid, please use this form.
  • Once the hammer falls, the winning bid is a binding contract.  All disputes are resolved at the discretion of the Auctioneer, Dana Balsamo.
  • Dana Auctions LLC charges a 18% Buyer’s Premium (21% on LiveAuctioneers).  For example, if your winning bid total $100, your bill will be $100 + $18 BP + applicable sales tax.
  • All items are antique or vintage, and most have been gently used.  While we do our best to describe each item, including condition with all flaws, it is up to the bidder to ask questions before bidding if you have a specific concern that is not addressed.  We will gladly provide you with answers to your specific questions, including additional pictures or even a preview video!
  • We offer in-house shipping.  This saves you from paying service fees for UPS packing and shipping.
  • In Person/Live Auctions, payments may be made by cash, in state check, or Visa/MC/Amex/Discover.  Online auctions made be paid for by credit card only.
  • All Sales are Final.

  • Dana specializes in fine antique and vintage textiles.  This includes Quilts (related textiles), Coverlets, Embroidery, Fabric, Lace, Linens, and Handkerchiefs.

  • Auctions work!  The model of the auction is such that your item will sell for what the highest offer in the “room” is.  We start low and go higher!  Not negotiate lower like at an estate sale or flea market.  Quality consignments will bring an accurate return.

  • It is our job as an auction company to market your consignment to the best of our ability.  We will evaluate your consignment with you and together we will decide the perfect combination of social media marketing, print advertising, email campaigns, and more.
