78in x82inHand appliqued, hand embroidered, machine pieced, hand quilted in parallel diagonal lines about 1.25in apart. 16 blocks, about 17.5×18.5, set straight with one pale green border. Each dual handled vase contains 3 tulips. Each edge has been hand embroidered in a buttonhole stitch in contrasting color. Each block is outlined in hand embroidered red turkey track stitches.The quilt has a false back, off white cotton muslin, which may have been applied prior to hanging in an exhibit. Long basting stitches present. Cotton batting. Pale green border fabric brought to the back to finish the edges. In very good condition. Pencil lines for marking quilt are still evident. There are a few small scattered spots. And the green border was probably originally much brighter.Please see our You Tube channel for a video preview of this quilt.
