September Antique Quilt & Textile Auction
Antique, late 18th century, cotton toile fragment measuring 16.5 by 28 inches. This textile was a museum de-accession, and has been professionally stabilized. The museum’s catalog reference numbers on the back on one corner. Print is brown on off white. The fragment shows a Chinese man offering a cup to another man playing an instrument. There are also pagodas, tress, flowers, and a Chinese boy climbing rocks. There is not a complete repeat in this piece.
