Antique 19th century Chinese grain basket measuring 12.5 inches in diameter and 4.75 inches tall. Most likely from cane and bamboo. The basket has an intricate woven star shaped pattern on the inside. In good condition, with some loss to the inside, missing two metal stud embellishments on the base. This item was part of Laura Fisher’s estate. Laura Fisher was a New York based world renowned quilt expert, dealer and author, and in offering these textiles for sale we hope to honor her legacy of style and scholarship.
