Antique c1910 Wild Goose Chase quilt measuring 80 x 81 inches. Comprised of 36 Wild Goose Chase blocks measuring 11 x 11 inches, set straight 6 x 6 with no sashing and a triple strip border – blue, white and blue 6 inches wide. Without sashing to separate the blocks, this pattern creates a secondary design, diamond-in-a-square. It is hand pieced, hand quilted, thick cotton batting, white cotton reverse, back is brought to the front to finish the edge, and applied by machine. There is a paper attached stating quilt may have been made by Ann Cockrell Blauch from Blue Hill, Nebraska, 1890-1901; however, auctioneer believes it to be not earlier than 1910. Quilt is in poor condition with water stains, small holes, seam separations, and fabric deterioration. We do our best to describe all items in detail and provide pictures.
