Antique c1840 Chintz Bars quilt measuring 110 x 112. Bars arrangement with vertical strips of chintz fabric alternating with solid off white cotton. There appears to be three different chintz fabrics within the quilt symmetrically placed. It is hand pieced and hand quilted in a chevron pattern. Very thin cotton batting, off white cotton reverse, and on grain red binding, may have been replaced circa 1920, applied by hand. In fair condition with overall toning, spots, and several areas of fabric deterioration in the chintz. Chintz maintains its original glaze. We do our best to describe all items in detail and provide pictures. If you have any doubt, please ask questions! We will gladly combine multiple lots for your convenience and economy. Depending on how many lots we can pack, it may cost an additional $5.
