Vintage two-sided quilt comfort measuring 50 x 50 inches. One side comprised of c1910 silk and velvet bowtie blocks, each measuring about 4 x 4 inches. Blocks are hand pieced and assembled by machine. Each block has a tiny yellow bow tied in the center. Second side is medallion style with the bowtie blocks comprising a center field of approximately 29 x 31 inches, with a vibrant 8 inch, yellow textured fabric, probably 1960s-1970s. Blocks again are tied in the center with a small yellow bow. No batting. Edge is bound in same yellow textured fabric. Purchased from a West Caldwell, New Jersey estate in 1997. The medallion side is in very good condition with only two fabrics with holes. The other side is in overall fair condition with several silks have damage. We do our best to describe all items in detail and provide pictures. If you have any doubt, please ask questions! We will gladly combine multiple lots for your convenience and economy. Depending on how many lots we can pack, it may cost an additional $5.
