Many fabrics and prints from 1860-1880s including centennial green, several chintz fabrics, madder, and a variety of browns, thin cotton batting, off white cotton backing, finished edge with the back brought to the front and applied by machine. The rest of the quilt is machine pieced and hand quilted. Lovely, scrappy, 4.5 inch harlequin style border. Many of the center stars are specialty cut or fussy cut. In good condition. The quilt appears to have been washed at some point, but still appears to have small scattered spots, one fabric appears to have some deterioration, and a madder print having some conservation. Quilt has a small A label on top left corner and has a newly applied sleeve attached to the back for hanging. It is noted that the quilt was purchased at an estate sale in Mahwah, NJ in 2000.
