Group of patriotic textile from Laura Fisher’s sample collection. Includes a World War I remember me textile in poor condition with splits and fraying; a pillowcase made from silk cigar ribbons, red, white and blue on one side and gold on the other, including many from Havana, in poor condition with deterioration; 12 cigar flannel premiums with various flaps including one from the University of Michigan, hand stitched together, in good condition with some spots; a silk textile with several cigarette silks of flags embroidered around the perimeter with the flag of Great Britain in the center; an embroidered British textile meant to frame, from 1914-1919, in good condition with some spots; 12 red, white and blue carpenter’s square quilt blocks 16 x 16 inches, in good condition with some spots, probably bicentennial; along with a patriotic skirt and collar, believed to be from 1900, small tear on the side, possibly for a child, 12 inch waist laying flat and 32 inches long. These items are from the estate of Laura Fisher. We do our best to describe all items in detail and provide pictures. If you have any doubt, please ask questions!
