Antique c1880s Snowball quilt measuring 78 x 78 inches. Comprised of 36, 9 x 9 inch, brown print with cheddar corner snowball blocks, set on point, 6 x 6, with alternating same brown print squares. It is hand pieced and hand quilted with a medium loft cotton batting and a beige solid reverse, possibly home dyed. The edge is finished with a cheddar, solid fabric binding applied by hand. It is in good condition with some areas of discoloration and spots. Brown print may have previously been an early purple that has gone fugitive overall. If you have any doubt, please ask questions! In house Flat Rate Shipping of $25 is a domestic shipping estimate for first quilt and includes insurance. We will gladly combine multiple lots for your convenience and economy.
