Antique c1880s Blazing Star in Blue and White measuring 70×72 inches. Comprised of 16 Blazing Star blocks 10×10 inches, set straight 4 by 4, with a 4.5 inch wide blue and white triple border. Color placement creates the 9 Patch cornerstones. There is a1.5 white inner border, followed by a 1 inch blue print border, and a 1.5 inch white outer border. This cotton batting and white cotton reverse. Edge is finished with a white cotton fabric applied binding. It is hand pieced and hand quilted. In very good condition. The blue print is a tiny white star on the indigo. I understand that the smaller stars are earlier fabrics. If you have any doubt, please ask questions!
