Vintage c1930 Boston Commons Variation Quilt measuring 70×89″. 1.5″ squares are pieced and arranged on an off white ground, with a cross motif in the center with frames of concentric squares. It is hand pieced, hand appliqued, and hand quilted. Batting is cotton, reverse is an off white cotton solid. Edge is finished with the back brought to the front and applied by hand. In good condition with overall toning and spots. I think a good soaking would bring this quilt back to its original beautiful self. The quilting is magnificent!
