Vintage c1950 Aster Quilt measuring 92×92″. Comprised of 16 blocks, 16.5×16.5″, set straight, 4 by 4, with 2.5″ blue print sashing and inner border, and 7″ off white outer border. It is machine pieced, machine appliqued, and hand quilted. There is thin cotton batting and an off white reverse. A blue print binding finishes the edges. It is in good condition with just a few small spots, but there are very heavy pencil marks evident for the quilting. There are some really nice fabrics in the flower petals including feedsacks, feedsack prints, rayon dress prints, and more. This quilt is part of the Living Estate of widely respected Sharon Stark of Sharon’s Antiques Vintage Fabrics and Textiles of Eastern PA. She was an author and long time collector and dealer of antique quilts, fabrics and textiles. Sharon is the authority on Feedsacks, and you may remember her Rickrack website.
