Antique c1880 Snow ball quilt measuring 76×87”. Comprised of 56 blocks 9.9×9.5”, set straight, 7×8, with a 5” madder print border. It is hand and machine pieced and hand quilted. It has thin cotton batting and a brown Jacobean style print reverse. Edge is finished with a madder print applied binding. In fair condition with several spots and water marks. There is a note pinned to the quilt ”Quilt was made by thankful Smith Avery born 1815, died 1885”. If you have any doubt, please ask questions!
