Antique 1839 figural coverlet from Bethany, Genesee County NY made for M.Campbell. The coverlet is in 2 halves, the center seam ha come undone. Each side measures 39×88”. The roses and stars are very similar to coverlet no. 7 in American Weavers and Their Coverlets, that is another unidentified weaver. This coverlet has little birds added to the rose motifs. In fair condition with large spots and some loss to the weaving an is missing its fringe. If you have any doubt, please ask questions!
