Antique c1900 Crazy Quilt measuring 68 by 80 inches. It is comprised of 42 crazy quilt blocks, 10 by 10, set straight, 6 by 7, with a 5.5 inch burgundy wool border. It is hand pieced, hand appliquéd, hand embroidered, and hand quilted. Many of the seams are hand embroidered in various stitches, though primitive. There are hand embroidered stars, flowers, butterflies, the name Lola, and more. There is thin cotton batting and a brown cotton sateen reverse. The edge is finished knife edge style, by machine. It is in good condition with a few small holes in the border and several of the fabrics. It is very rare to see a crazy quilt actually quilted. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $25 is a domestic shipping estimate for first quilt and includes insurance. We will gladly combine multiple lots for your convenience and economy.
