Vintage kit quilt Chateau Rose by Fixler Brothers, sold in Herrshners Catalog from 1963 to 1968. It measures 80 inches by 96 inches. Large open roses in the center of wreaths of square flowers repeated over the center of quilt. There are small rose in spaces between wreaths. Vines of the square flowers and leaves forms swags along border. It is machine pieced, hand embroidered in cross stitch and hand quilted. Batting is polyester. Very nice workmanship. In good condition. It has some spots and some discoloration that may have been due to storage, but should soak out. Believed to have been collected from PA Amish community.
