Vintage 1920s tied quilt or comfort measuring 78 x 75 inches. In a whole cloth style using cotton furnishing fabric with large scale gold and white flowers and leaves against a blue ground. Same fabric used on back and front. Red wool flange applied by machine to the edge. Comfort is tied with red yarn with blue and beige circles. In very good condition with deterioration to wool edge. Original width of fabric is about 29 inches. This quilt was part of Laura Fisher’s estate. Laura Fisher was a New York based world renowned quilt expert, dealer and author, and in offering these textiles for sale we hope to honor her legacy of style and scholarship.
