Antique c1880s Hour Glass crib quilt measuring 35×40 inches. 135 blocks 2×2 inches, set on point, with 1 inch green print sashing and shirting cornerstones, creating a lattice effect. It is hand pieced and hand quilted. The backing is a small black print on neutral ground. Quilt is in fair condition with fading, large spots, edge wear, and fabric deterioration. This quilt was part of Laura Fisher’s estate. Laura Fisher was a New York based world renowned quilt expert, dealer and author, and in offering these textiles for sale we hope to honor her legacy of style and scholarship.
