Antique Whitework Candlewick Embroidered Bedspread 1859 by Sarah Hoff as predominantly executed in the center surrounded by a sun. More suns and flowers and leaves adorn the bedspread, as well. It is cotton and measures 83×85 inches with 4.5 inch fringe along 3 sides. All work done by hand. Possibly from Pennsylvania. In very good condition with a small tear in the fringe, minor storage discoloration and spots. This item was part of Laura Fisher’s estate. Laura Fisher was a New York based world renowned quilt expert, dealer and author, and in offering these textiles for sale we hope to honor her legacy of style and scholarship.
