Pair of antique Marseilles or matelassé measuring 61 x 84 inches. Features a center field of stars and other emblem type motif surrounded by a border with chevron and a renaissance floral motif. These pieces appear to be stuffed work like trapunto. Top and bottom hems are by machine. Both bedspreads are in very good condition with no issues noted. This item was part of Laura Fisher’s estate. Laura Fisher was a New York based world renowned quilt expert, dealer and author, and in offering these textiles for sale we hope to honor her legacy of style and scholarship.
