Antique Marseilles or matelassé measuring 56 x 77 inches. Features a center medallion motif is an 8-petal flower in a scrolling octagon with floral border and diamond grid outer border. It is in good condition with storage discoloration. Resembles trapunto stuffed work. Top and bottom hems are by machine. This item was part of Laura Fisher’s estate. Laura Fisher was a New York based world renowned quilt expert, dealer and author, and in offering these textiles for sale we hope to honor her legacy of style and scholarship.
