Vintage red plaid wool blanket measuring 86 x 84 inches with machine appliqued black velvet “N R” monogram in the center and two flowers along the bottom at each corner. Velvet edge on three sides and a 1940s cotton print along the top. The blanket was constructed with three panels that are about 33 inches wide and hand stitched together. Very heavy. One flower appears to have been cut off and the “N R” initials are not quite centered.. In good condition, no issues noted. This item was part of Laura Fisher’s estate. Laura Fisher was a New York based world renowned quilt expert, dealer and author, and in offering these textiles for sale we hope to honor her legacy of style and scholarship.
