Antique 1856 Rose Wreath Quilt measuring about 82×94 inches. Comprised of 9 full blocks, 18.5×18.5, set straight, 3 by 3, with 3 partial blocks along one side. There is a 13 inch wide border with an undulating vine with leaves and flowers. Predominantly double process green with Turkey Red and a chromium yellow. It is hand pieced, hand appliqued, and hand quilted. In the quilting is HH and 1856. white cotton reverse and thing cotton batting. The edge is finished with a thin turkey red applied binding. It is in poor condition with the Turkey Red abrading, spots, small holes, edge wear, and fading. But the quilting is magnificent! If you have any doubt, please ask questions!
