Antique 1880 Long Cabin Quilt in a Sunshine and Shadows arrangement, measuring 72×81 inches. Comprised of 56 blocks, 10×10 inches, set straight, 7 by 8. There is a shirting border along 3 sides with a deep scalloped edge, very rare for a 19th century quilt! It is hand pieced and hand quilted. There is a white cotton reverse and thin cotton batting. The edge is finished with an applied green print binding, on the bias, also rare for a 19th century quilt! It is in fair condition with a few logs deteriorating, edge wear, and a few spots. Great fabrics including Centennial or Aldehyde greens, double pinks, browns and more. If you have any doubt, please ask questions!
