Antique 1904 Redwork Quilt measuring 73×82 inches, with 2 matching pillow shams 26×34 inches. Each block has hand embroidered motifs like figures and flowers, along with many names, this may have been a fundraising quilt. There are 42 blocks, 14.5×14.5 inches, set straight, 6 by 7, with an additional 10 blocks along the top. There is a ruffle on all 4 sides, and a double ruffle on the shams. It is hand and machine pieced, hand embroidered, and hand quilted. In good condition with small spots. Believed to be from Hemet California. We goggled one name Professor AB Ulrey and he was a Professor of Biology and Zoology at USC from 1901 to 1929. If you have any doubt, please ask questions!
