Antique c1880s Mennonite Log Cabin Quilt, measuring about 76×84 inches. Comprised of 72 Log Cabin Blocks, about 8"x8", set straight, 8 by 9, with a 7" black sateen border. Fabric placement creates a Barn Raising pattern. It is machine pieced and hand quilted. I am unable to determine if there is batting, but it is backed in more black sateen fabric. The edge is finished with the back brought to the front, and applied by machine. Paper with the quilt describes this as Old Order Mennonite Log Cabin Quilt from Ephrata, Lancaster County, PA. It is in good condition with some lighter marks on the black and other small spots. If you have any doubt, please ask questions!
