Antique c1900s Streak of Lightning Quilt measuring 84X85 inches. It is comprised of 1.75 inch squares. The squares were stitched into a 13 x 13 units and then arranged 3 x 3. The color placement of the red, white, blue, and green fabrics creates a zigzag or streak of lightning or bargello style motif. It is framed with a 4 inch wide white with purple stripe fabric border with four patch cornerstones. It is hand and machine pieced, and hand quilted. There is a thin cotton batting, a blue. Chambray fabric reverse. The edge is finished with the back brought to the front and applied by machine. It is good condition with a few small spots, mostly in the border.
