Vintage 1920s Churn Dash quilt measuring 84″ x 74″. Comprised of 36 churn dash blocks 8.5″ x 8.5″, set straight 6 x 6, with a 3.5″ scrappy sashing , 4-patch cornerstones, and a scrappy 6.5″ wide border. Quilt is almost entirely plaids and stripes with just a few solids and prints. It is hand pieced and hand quilted. Thin cotton batting and an off-white with pink print shirting revers. Edge is finished with front brought to back and applied by hand. In good condition with a few small spots. This quilt is part of the Living Estate of widely respected Sharon Stark of Sharon’s Antiques Vintage Fabrics and Textiles of Eastern PA. She was an author and long time collector and dealer of antique quilts, fabrics and textiles. Sharon is the authority on Feedsacks, and you may remember her Rickrack website.
